Our Commitment to Privacy

At FizziLabs OCR, we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains how we handle your data when you use our optical character recognition (OCR) service. TL;DR: We don't store anything. Your files are processed in real-time and immediately deleted.

What We Collect

Files You Upload:

  • Your uploaded documents/images are processed in your browser's memory
  • Files are converted to base64 and sent to our secure API proxy
  • The proxy forwards your file to Mistral AI's OCR service
  • Nothing is saved to disk, databases, or logs
  • All processing is ephemeral (temporary, in-memory only)

Technical Data:

  • Cloudflare may collect basic analytics (visitor counts, country-level location)
  • We do NOT use cookies, trackers, or persistent identifiers
  • We do NOT collect personal information (names, emails, addresses)

How We Use Your Data

Files: Solely for OCR processing. Files are deleted immediately after processing.

Technical Data: Used only for service operation, security, and performance monitoring.

Mistral AI (OCR Provider)

  • Processes your files to extract text
  • Zero data retention policy - deletes all data immediately after processing

California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights:

  • Right to Know: Request what personal information we collect (we collect none)
  • Right to Delete: Request deletion of your data (nothing is stored)
  • Right to Opt-Out: Opt-out of data sales (we don't sell data)
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: Equal service regardless of privacy choices

Data Security

We implement multiple security measures:

  • HTTPS Encryption: All data transmitted over secure TLS connections
  • API Key Protection: API keys stored as encrypted secrets in Cloudflare Workers
  • No Database: Zero persistent storage = zero data breach risk
  • Edge Computing: Processing happens on Cloudflare's global network, not centralized servers
  • CORS Restrictions: Only our domain can access the API

Data Retention

We retain ZERO data. Files are processed in-memory and deleted immediately. There are no databases, no logs of file contents, and no persistent storage.

Your Choices

  • Don't Upload Sensitive Files: While we don't store files, you should avoid uploading highly confidential documents if you're concerned
  • Browser Privacy: Use private/incognito mode for additional privacy
  • Clear Browser Cache: Results are stored in your browser's memory and cleared on refresh

Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

International Users

Our service uses Cloudflare's global edge network, meaning your files are processed on servers geographically close to you. By using our service, you consent to processing in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top indicates the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
